How long have you been working at iFocus?
I have been with iFocus Marketing for two wonderful years.
Describe what you do.
I manage our Search Engine Optimization team (I know, what a mouthful). Essentially, my job is to improve our clients Organic Search rankings to increase website traffic and conversions.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
The best part about my job is I never do the same thing every day. Usually they start off with 2 cups of coffee, catching up on emails, and then executing client tasks and strategizing with my team.
What would your co-workers say is your most distinguishing feature at work?
My sparkling personality.
Briefly talk about one of your all-time favorite iFocus projects you’ve worked on.
All completed projects are my favorite. Other than that, I had the chance to work for a company who makes luxury pet beds and I love animals – so that was pretty cool.
Besides your own work, what iFocus product/service is your favorite? Why?
Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC), because it pairs really well with my service and you can quickly see the ROI.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Other than hanging out with my lovely wife and daughter, I like to rock out on the drum set.
What’s your favorite local KC food joint?
I’m a Blue Koi fanatic. The fried tofu with awesome sauce is heaven on a plate.
What movie or TV show character do you most identify with?
Ed Warren from The Conjuring because I’m a paranormal nerd.
What’s one cool thing that has happened to you recently?
My alternator went out on my car and I was able to replace it by myself. I’m terrible with anything mechanical, so this was pretty cool for me.
Describe your ideal weekend getaway.
Tent camping in the mountains with my family.
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
I love all animals, but I have two cats in my family. So I guess that makes me a cat person?
What celebrity would you most like to have drinks and a conversation with? Why?
Josh Gates from Expedition Unknown. He travels all over the world and I imagine he has some interesting tales to tell.
What’s one weird quirk that you have?
I pace when I’m on the phone.

Describe one thing that’s a source of inspiration for you.
Nature inspires me. Plants, animals, and everything else have to work so hard just to survive. We have it easy folks.

The people.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned from working at iFocus thus far?
Continuing to learn how to be a better team member. This is the first agency I’ve worked at where everyone collaborates and listens to each other well.
