SEO Associate

iFocus Marketing is looking for a driven, technical mind to execute and strategize SEO tactics. We ARE NOT looking for contract workers at this time. This candidate will work directly with the SEO and Content teams, along with the account management and sales teams to strategize, implement and educate on SEO best practices. This position includes a working knowledge of current search trends, ranking evaluations, content best practices and a willingness to collaborate across clients in a variety of industries and scales. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEM Rush, Agency Analytics, and multiple website CMS platforms. The candidate will have responsibilities with technical on-site updates as well as off-site best practices for optimizing in the organic side of search.

This position will also include responsibilities working on simple web development projects, including landing page development, experience with WordPress, and basic understanding of PHP back-end development and troubleshooting. Candidate should be comfortable working in the following front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of CSS changes and their ramifications across different platforms, browsers, and devices.

The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and will have the ability to juggle multiple projects and clients at one time, while still delivering on-point and on-time work. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work, are key attributes of this individual. This position is a full-time, salaried position based out of our headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas. Employee will begin work virtually while the full office is remote. Office is available for socially distanced work for the time being, but the team is working remotely through at least the remainder of 2020.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Ability to comfortably work with minimal supervision

Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery

Experience developing WordPress

Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects effectively while coordinating with internal departments, branches, outside vendors, and business partners.

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.

Willing to take ownership of individual projects while also working on collaborative initiatives for local and national clients.

2-3 years Search Engine Optimization experience in a client or agency setting

Experience programming skills, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3+, jQuery, etc.

Experience strategizing and communicating SEO value with clients and internal stakeholders

Social Media Coordinator

iFocus Marketing is looking for an individual with superb writing skills and a passion for social media. In this role, the candidate will be working with our wide range of clients to implement, monitor, optimize, and report on organic content for social media. This person will be responsible for writing and coordinating social content for our social management clients. This person will manage the day-to-day tasks of the social management team as well as identifying opportunities within each account to improve engagement performance and take action to improve results.

The ideal candidate should be very familiar with various social media marketing interfaces and their respective back-end functionalities, specifically Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. The candidate will be well organized, take initiative, prioritize well, will be accustomed to multi-tasking, and should possess a strong sense of ownership for client satisfaction. In addition, this individual should feel comfortable developing creative content to exceed established performance benchmarks. This is a full-time position based in our Overland Park office (current team is remote) – those only looking for remote work need not apply.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Create, execute, and manage organic social content across multiple social media platforms

Develop and maintain monthly content schedules for all clients

Write concise, engaging content that adheres to clients’ varying brand guidelines for tone of voice and channel/medium
